About the School

The School of Architecture is part of Lund University and LTH, Faculty of Engineering. The School is located in A-huset (the A-building) on the LTH-campus in the north-east part of Lund.

The School of Architecture offers four education programmes:

  • A five-year programme in Architecture, 300 hp (ECTS credits), open for Swedish and Nordic students, leading to a Degree of Master of Architecture (in Swedish: Arkitektexamen).

  • A two-year English-taught Master's programme in Architecture (MARK), 120 hp (ECTS credits), open for Swedish and international students with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, leading to a Degree of Master of Science in Architecture with a specialisation in Advanced Architectural Design.

  • A two-year English-taught Master's programme in Sustainable Urban Design (SUDes), 120 hp (ECTS credits), open for Swedish and international students with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, or Landscape Architecture, or Physical Planning, or Urban Design, leading to a Degree of Master of Science in Architecture with a specialisation in Sustainable Urban Design.

  • A two-year English-taught Master's programme in Digital Architecture and Emergent Futures (MAEF) 120 hp (ECTS credits), open for Swedish and international students with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, leading to a Degree of Master of Science in Architecture with a specialisation in Digital Architecture and Emergent Futures.

There are about 400 students at the School every year. All students are offered good working facilities and an adjustable working space of their own. There are three fully equipped computers in every studio (12-15 students). The School has a well-equipped wood workshop, a digital fabrication lab and a Library for Architecture and Design with a large collection of books and magazines.

Many of the courses in our programmes are taught by staff of the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, where about 100 persons are doing education and research. In several courses, also staff from other departments is involved.
